VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 21, 2005) - Tenke Mining Corp. (the "Company") (TSX:TNK - News) and Phelps Dodge Corporation recently held meetings with the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo regarding amendments to the existing agreement with respect to the development of the Tenke Fungurume copper-cobalt deposits located in the Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. The Company remains hopeful that they will be able to reach an agreement in principle to allow the project to proceed to development.
